Construction is underway on the Los Angeles Sparks' $150 million headquarters and training facility in El Segundo, with the 55,000-square-foot complex on track to open for the 2027 WNBA season.

The facility sits along Rosecrans Avenue just east of Sepulveda Boulevard, within Continental Park on the Rosecrans Corridor. The Sparks announced the project on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, and construction was confirmed in progress as of Tuesday, July 22, 2026.

Global architecture firm Gensler designed the building, which will include two regulation basketball courts, a circular locker room, and what the team calls the WNBA's first indoor-outdoor player sanctuary with recovery pools and hydrotherapy suites. Transwestern's Sports & Entertainment Group is serving as development manager.

Once the Sparks move in, El Segundo will be the only U.S. city home to five professional sports teams: the LA Chargers, LA Kings, LA Lakers, Rugby LA, and the LA Sparks, according to the city.

"In three years, we've attracted the Los Angeles Chargers and the Sparks to El Segundo, proving this small city has tremendous appeal," Richard Lundquist, CEO of Continental Development Corporation, said when the project was announced in September 2025.

The Sparks and the City of El Segundo have called the project the largest single-team investment in women's sports history. No specific construction milestones or completion timeline beyond the 2027 target have been publicly announced.
