Three friends turned a Riviera Village storefront into a neighborhood hangout.
Lisa Vitale, Denise Halliwell, and Cathy Cesarz co-own Village Vibes 90277 at 203 Avenue I in Redondo Beach. The shop sells beach apparel for women and men alongside local band merchandise and gifts, according to a Local Anchor profile published Sunday, July 13.
What sets the boutique apart is its "Good Vibes Only" patio, shared with neighboring business Artisanal LA. The space regularly hosts pop-up vendors, live bands, fundraisers, and food pop-ups, with the adjacent parking lot serving as overflow event space.
"Be yourself, build what feels good, and help others along the way," Vitale said.
Vitale came from careers in entertainment and sales and marketing. Halliwell brought eight years as co-owner of Beach DNA and a career as a stylist. Together with Cesarz, the trio rebranded an existing business into its current form.
Stocking merchandise from South Bay bands gives local artists another sales channel in the neighborhood. Vitale told Local Anchor she tries to hire and work with local artists and artisans whenever possible.
Village Vibes 90277 is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Residents can follow @villagevibes90277 on Instagram for pop-up schedules and event announcements.
