South Bay soccer fans priced out of Friday's World Cup quarterfinal at SoFi Stadium have a free alternative: the LA Galaxy is hosting public watch parties that will cover the semifinals and the final.

The Galaxy's event, called the "LA Galaxy Soccer Celebration," is free, family-friendly, and open to the public, according to the Daily Breeze. It runs Tuesday, July 14, Wednesday, July 15, Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, aligning with the World Cup semifinals and final weekend. The Galaxy has not announced a specific venue; fans can check lagalaxy.com for location and time updates.

Hermosa Beach has also announced plans for watch party events, though the city has not released venue details, dates, or times. The City of Hermosa Beach website should have updates as they become available.

The local watch parties arrive as World Cup fever hits the South Bay hard. Spain and Belgium kick off their quarterfinal at noon PDT on Friday, July 10, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Secondary-market tickets start at $1,125, according to USA Today. Belgium punched its ticket by eliminating the United States 4-1 in Seattle on July 6, a game that drew 30 million viewers on Fox, making it the most-watched soccer telecast in U.S. history, AP reported.

Spain, which has not conceded a goal in the entire 2026 tournament, advanced by beating Portugal 1-0 in Dallas on July 6.

For fans who'd rather skip the Inglewood traffic and the four-figure price tag, the Galaxy's celebration offers four chances to watch the tournament's final stretch with neighbors instead of strangers. The first event is Tuesday, July 14.
