A new monthly dance party is taking over Hermosa Beach's Pier Plaza and The Strand, but neighbors won't hear a thing.

Sunset Vibes Silent Disco launched at Vista Restaurant, 11 Pier Ave., giving South Bay families a wireless-headphone dance experience steps from the sand. The next edition is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 30, from 6 to 10 p.m., with tickets starting at $15.

Guests pick up high-fidelity wireless headphones at the door and toggle between multiple music channels. Each channel glows a different color on the headset, so dancers can spot who's grooving to the same beat. The headphones reach about a quarter mile, according to Secret Los Angeles, meaning attendees can wander from the plaza toward the beach without losing the music.

For August, the setup includes five simultaneous music stages and a rotating lineup of six or more DJs, plus two request channels where guests pick what plays. Genres span EDM, house, hip-hop, Latin, pop and remixes stretching back to the 1970s. Karaoke is also on the menu.

World of Sound Productions, the event organizer listed on Eventbrite, bills the series as all-ages and family-friendly. Kids' tickets run $15. Adult pricing scales from $15 (Super Early Bird) to $25 (Early Bird) to $35 (General Admission). Tickets include entry and headphones; final prices with service fees may run slightly higher. Full details and tickets are available at sunsetvibesevents.com.

The Daily Breeze lists the recurring series as the first Sunday of every month, 5 to 10 p.m., though the Aug. 30 ticketing page shows a 6 p.m. start. Residents should confirm times at sunsetvibesevents.com before heading out.

Production touches include laser lights, haze machines and disco balls spread across Vista's outdoor space at the corner of The Strand and Pier Plaza. Sunset Vibes Events also plans to bring the format to Fiesta Hermosa over Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5–7.
