Fiesta Hermosa returns Sept. 5 with four stages, 250 vendors and free bike valet

Downtown Hermosa Beach will shut down for three days starting Saturday, Sept. 5, when the 53rd annual Fiesta Hermosa fills Pier Avenue and the surrounding blocks with live music, more than 250 vendors and a carnival through Monday, Sept. 7.

The free festival, produced by the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau under president Jessica Accamando, is the nonprofit's primary fundraiser. Proceeds support local business programs, tourism initiatives and community events year-round, according to the City of Hermosa Beach.

Four stages, no beach concert

This year's edition features four live music stages: the Garden Stage, the Love Local Stage on Pier Plaza, the Java Man Stage and the Carnival Stage. There is no Beach Concert in 2026.

The Lighthouse Cafe, the iconic Hermosa Beach music venue, is booking the Garden Stage all weekend. Saturday's lineup opens with Yachtzee from 1 to 3 p.m. followed by Joe's Band from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Full lineups for all stages are being posted at fiestahermosa.net/music/.

The Garden: beer, bands and a 4 p.m. warning

The Garden, the festival's 21-and-over beer garden, charges $10 per day. Pre-sale tickets are available online with a faster will-call line; walk-up tickets are sold at the door. Organizers recommend arriving before 4 p.m. because the space hits capacity. The age restriction is absolute per the festival's ABC permit, with no exceptions, including infants.

Carnival, food and the Makers Mercado

The Mini Carnival sets up on 11th Street between Hermosa Avenue and Beach Drive. Hours run 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. Carnival tickets are sold on-site only and are non-refundable.

The Makers Mercado spreads more than 250 artists, makers and local businesses across the walkable downtown layout. A Food Fair sits adjacent to The Garden, with additional options at the Carnival on Upper Pier Avenue and a Dessert Depot for sweets.

Getting there without a car

Parking in Hermosa Beach is limited during the festival, and the city's new parking citation penalties that took effect Aug. 1 make an expired meter more expensive. An unpaid $75 citation now carries a $75 late fee if unresolved within 29 days, according to the Daily Breeze.

Hermosa Cyclery will staff a free bike valet with capacity for more than 1,000 bikes per day. The Chamber recommends making a parking plan before arriving; details are at fiestahermosa.net/parking/.
