More than 300 classic cars, hot rods, sports cars, trucks and motorcycles will line Main Street in Downtown El Segundo on Saturday, Aug. 15, for the 28th Annual El Segundo Main Street Car Show.

Admission is free.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. between El Segundo Boulevard and Mariposa Avenue, according to the Daily Breeze. Vehicle registration has already sold out, per the show's Eventbrite page.

The El Segundo Chamber of Commerce, led by CEO and president Marsha Hansen, organizes the show each year on the third Saturday of August. The city's official newsletter calls it "one of the South Bay's premier automotive shows."

Beyond the vehicles, spectators can expect live music, sponsor booths, shopping and access to downtown restaurants and breweries along the route.

The show draws car enthusiasts from across Southern California. Hansen wrote on LinkedIn in August 2024, after the 26th annual show, that the event brings "over 300 exceptional cars & trucks and a couple thousand spectators to Downtown El Segundo from our community as well as all over Southern California." The 2026 partners and sponsors have not been publicly announced.

Volunteers begin processing registered vehicles at 6:30 a.m. on show day, with the south entry at Main Street and El Segundo Boulevard opening at 8 a.m. All entered vehicles must remain on display until 3 p.m. for safety.
